AI와 디지털 기술이 만드는 농업 혁신과 미래 식량의 비전을 함께 살펴보고, 청년들이 직접 뜻을 모은 ‘Youth Manifesto’를 FAO 본부에 전달하는 뜻깊은 자리에 여러분을 초대합니다!

1️⃣ National Chapter란 무엇인가요?
지속가능한 식량 미래를 위해 각 국가와 지역은 다양한 과제에 직면해 있고, 이를 해결하는 데 미래세대인 청년들의 역할이 점점 중요해지고 있습니다. FAO는 청년들이 지역 활동과 정책 논의에 참여할 수 있도록 National Chapter를 만들어 지원하고 있습니다. 한국 NC는 2023년 6월 FAO 한국협력연락사무소의 지원으로 출범하여, 전 세계 청년들과 교류하며 SDGs 달성과 농업·식량 시스템의 미래를 위해 활동하고 있습니다.

2️⃣ 이번 행사는 어떤 행사인가요?
세계식량포럼(WFF) 기간 동안 각 국가와 지역에서 청년들의 참여를 독려하고, 지속가능한 농업과 식량 시스템의 미래를 논의하기 위한 Decentralized Forum Event가 열립니다.

이번 행사는 AI와 디지털 기술 기반의 농업 혁신을 조명하고, 여성 농업인의 역할과 미래 식량의 비전을 함께 그려봅니다. 또한 한국, 부탄, 인도네시아, 몽골의 National Chapter 청년들이 한자리에 모여 현안을 공유하고 실질적인 협력 방안을 모색합니다. 이 과정에서 청년들이 함께 작성한 ‘Youth Manifesto’는 FAO 본부에 전달되어 글로벌 담론 형성에 기여하게 됩니다.

The FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in the Republic of Korea (FAO PLO ROK) and the National Chapter of the ROK are co-hosting a Decentralized Forum Event as part of the World Food Forum (WFF) 2026.

The event will highlight agricultural innovation powered by AI and digital technologies, explore the vital role of women farmers, and envision the future of food. Youth representatives from National Chapters across Asia—including South Korea, Bhutan, Indonesia, and Mongolia —will also gather to share current challenges and discuss practical pathways for cooperation. Furthermore, the “Youth Manifesto,” drafted collectively by these young leaders, will be delivered directly to FAO headquarters to contribute to global discourse.

1️⃣ What is the National Chapter?

Countries and regions around the world face diverse challenges in building sustainable food systems, and the role of youth as the next generation is becoming increasingly important.

FAO supports the establishment of National Chapters to encourage youth participation in local activities and policy discussions. The National Chapter of the ROK was established in June 2023 with the support of the FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in ROK. Since then, it has been engaging with youth around the world and working toward the achievement of the SDGs and a sustainable future for agriculture and food systems.

 

2️⃣ What is this event about?

During the World Food Forum (WFF), Decentralized Forum Events are held across countries and regions to encourage youth participation and facilitate discussions on the future of sustainable agriculture and food systems.

This event will highlight agricultural innovation powered by AI and digital technologies, explore the role of women farmers, and envision the future of food.

Youth representatives from the National Chapters of South Korea, Bhutan, Indonesia, and Mongolia will come together to share current challenges and explore practical opportunities for collaboration. The Youth Manifesto 2030, collectively developed by young people, will also be delivered to FAO headquarters, contributing to the global dialogue on the future of agrifood systems.
